Doctors without boarders class
By Haiti Adventist Hospital - September 9, 2016

Haiti Adventist Hospital is grateful to the sexual violence survivors support team from Doctors without Borders (MSF – Medecins Sans Frontiers) who visited to share on the very important issue treating and interacting with sexual abuse survivors. MSF visited on June 21 and July 21. Sessions were conducted for both clinical and non-clinical staff and topics included: “Confidentiality, compassion and professionalism working with survivors of sexual violence,” “The problem of sexual violence and gender based violence worldwide and in Haiti” and “Case Management Sexual Abuse Survivors. All of the seminars had very good attendance and staff were interactive, asking questions and eager to absorb whatever knowledge they can in order to effectively serve. The staff is committed to our motto “Compassion in Action” and we will continue to offer learning opportunities to ensure they are well equipped to realize this motto.

Apart from HAH staff, community health workers of the church and other community organizations were invited to participate in the training.
