Today, the Adventist church owns and operates hospitals and hundreds of health clinics in the developing world. Most of these have been deteriorating significantly over the past two decades, due to decreased external budget support, troubled local economies, political unrest, inadequate staffing, and insufficient governance. Without major external involvement, many of these institutions will lose their effectiveness and eventually close.
For more than 20 years, AHI has been mobilizing health care experience, expertise, personnel, and other resources to promote and improve quality global health and health care services through consultation, management, and technical assistance. With the volunteer support of employees of our corporate members, we are able to maximize the effectiveness of every dollar we receive.
