Recommended Airport:  Via Lilongwe International Airport (LLW), Malawi – use this as your entry point. Fly out of Lusaka International Airport, Zambia.
Visa requirements for U.S. citizen: None for entry in Malawi. At Mwami Border Post, immigration requires visa stamped in your passport. Single entry visitor's fee: $50. Double entry: $80. For more than one month, come with a Visitor/Business visa valid for 30 days' stay, then apply for a temporary work permit: $300 fee.
Transport from Airport Provided:  Request for transport from Hospital. Distance 360 kms round trip.
Transportation costs: May need fuel assistance of $100 round trip from LLW. For return to Lusaka take public bus from Chipata to Lusaka (600 kms )
